If I could interview one person in the psychotherapy field Who would it be?

Truth be told, I am a die hard Carl Jung fan. Clarissa Pinkola Estes is also a huge influence on me. If I could interview either of these people I would drop everything and go.

What amazing brains and intuition these two people have/had. Of course there are others that could hold my attention for hours but if I had to choose just one, it would be one of these.

Carl Gustav Jung (/jʊŋ/ YUUNG, German: [kaʁl ˈjʊŋ]; 26 July 1875 – 6 June 1961) was a Swiss psychiatrist and psychoanalyst who founded analytical psychology. Jung's work was influential in the fields of psychiatry, anthropology, archaeology, literature, philosophy, and religious studies. He waws groundbreaking in psychological circles and was heavily involved in multiple outcome techniques for healing including but n ot limited to the AA program.

Carl Jung is probably best known for his theory of the collective unconscious. It says that we are all connected beneath the conscious level. He is also widely known for his concepts of (1) Introversion and Extroversion, and (2) his theory of personality types. ... Jung is also known for his dream theories.

My favorite books by Dr. Jung? Memories, dreams and reflections which is a biography of his life. Archtypes and the collective unconscious. These books have so many things to share. Of course, everything he has ever written is amazing, if you can read esoteric writings. His stuff can be a handfull at first. I find that over time, it gets easier to understand the stories as you understand the man.

And then there is Ms. Estes

Clarissa Pinkola Estés (born January 27, 1945) is an American writer and Jungian psychoanalyst. She is the author of Women Who Run with the Wolves (1992), which remained on the New York Times bestseller list for 145 weeks and has sold over two million copies.

Estés is a certified senior Jungian analyst. Her doctorate, from the Union Institute & University [1981], is in ethno-clinical psychology on the study of social and psychological patterns in cultural and tribal groups. She is the author of many books on the journey of the soul. Beginning in 1992 and onward, her work has been published in 37 languages. Her book Women Who Run With the Wolves: Myths and Stories of The Wild Woman Archetype was on the New York Times' best seller list for 145 weeks, as well as other best seller lists, including USA TodayPublishers Weekly, and Library Journal.

When I found her book “Women who run with the wolves” I was entranced. I have yet to finish the book in its entirety. This is a book unlike any others you will read. For me each story holds a secret to a life passage women go through. The stories unfold and are available to the reader ( I believe) when the ready is ready for5 the lesson. it is timeless and educational in that it provides the woman with insight passed down through the ag4es from women to women. Understanding the inner workings of the self both anima and animus in each tale. Ofr course that may not6 have been her intention or your experience but it is mine. If I could interview her I would ask her all about her thoughts during that process of discovery through myths.

Who would you interview?
