Red sky at night

Red sky at night, sailors' delight. Red sky at morning, sailors take warning. The rhyme is a rule of thumb used for weather forecasting during the past two millennia. It is based on the reddish glow of the morning or evening sky, caused by haze or clouds related to storms in the region.

Sometimes we have rules of thumb in keeping our selves mentally strong. One of those rules is HALT ,this stands for Hungry, Angry, Lonely and Tired. When we are feeling any of these physical things we need to attend to them to be present psychologically. These physical states can cause us to react to the world around us instead of respond to this world. Taking time to attend to our physical states is a by product of being present for our own self care.

Before you get angry at a person place or thing, ask yourself if you are just in halt. Sometimes just taking a minute to check is all you need to be ok.

If this doesn't help consider counseling.
